Prof. Indra Bahadur Khare ((ヒンディー語:इन्द्र बहादुर खरे)) (16 Dec 1922–13 April 1953) was a noted Indian poet of Hindi Kavi-Sammelan, professor and Hindi litterateur of the 20th century. Born in a village of Gadarwara, Narsinghpur district at Madhya Pradesh, Khare developed a taste of literature at a very young age. He received his primary education at Sohagpur, Itarasi and from Katni in Madhya Pradesh. Later, he received middle school education at Mahoba Uttar Pradesh and higher secondary and intermediate education at (Kishori Raman Vidyalay Mathura ), Uttar Pradesh and then joined (Allahabad university ) for B.A. where he lived in Shyam Sundar Hostel. Unfortunately due to a financial crunch he could not complete his education and shifted to Jabalpur and wandered for a livelihood. Thereafter he had joined to (Hitkarini ) College in Jabalpur to attend his formal education B. A. In 1949 He has joined Hitkarini City College as a Professor.He was married to Vidyawati shrivastav in 1946 at Jabalpur. Vidyawati Khare was a school teacher and had a M.A. Degree in Sanskrit and M Ed. She served school fraternity for more than 30 years and was instrumental in bringing all three children, after Khare died. Indra and Vidya have three children: two sons and a daughter. Indra Bahadur admitted in Robertson college Jabalpur for M A degree but again due to financial crunch he could not continued and taken service and Prof Khare has taught many great students including Acharya Shri Rajneesh Osho, Hari Krushna Tripathee, Prof Dr Uma Shankar Pathak, Gargee Sharan Mishra Maral and . Posthumously, his poems have been sung by several melodious and talented singers such as Ms. Madhuri Jha in 1964, Ms. Rekha Sharma in 1968, Mrs. Santosh Jhanjhi in 1979, Triveni-Parishad singer in 1989, Ms. Dhaharwal, Shri Kirti Vyas in 2003, Shri Prabhanjay Chaturvedi in 2001 and 2004 and Shri Pritansh Mishra in 2014. An award was later declared and initiated under the name Aaditya for obtaining highest marks in Hindi subject at (Maharashtra High School, Jabalpur ).
